Summary of Custom Feather Flag Banner Kitset

Our custom feather banners kitset in the small size includes a 2100x700mm high-quality printed custom banner and a 2-piece heavy duty fiberglass flag pole set. Once set up, the flag reaches a height of 2.5 meters.

The large size has a 3000x800mm high-quality printed custom banner and a 3-piece heavy duty fiberglass flag pole set. All sizes come with a ground spike flag base as default and a strong pole carry bag. Once set up, the flag reaches a height of 3.5 meters.

Five base options are available for concrete, grass, road-side and indoor locations. You may choose either single sided or double sided options for your application. Please read below for more details about the custom feather flag kitset.

Feather Banner Template for DIY Design

You must download our small feather flag template (PDF) or large feather flag template (PDF) for your flag design if you would like to provide us your own design. The only file format we can accept is PDF for the teardrop flag designs. Guidelines have been listed in the template. Some key points are listed here for the teardrop banners design:

  • Keep all important contents in the areas 30mm within the red-sewing lines. All contents out of the sewing lines will not be shown on the finished flags.
  • Convert all your texts to outlines or contours as we might not have the specific fonts you have used in the flag design. 
  •  Must save the file as PDF. We can only accept PDF files. You may use dropbox or similar if the file is very large.

  • High standard sewing precision - we understand most flags are damaged because of poor sewing quality. We ensure that the sewing and stitches are done perfectly with our professional sewing machines for each of our flags.
  • Extra protection of flag tips - extra details to solidify the quality of our finished flag banner product. We have noticed the fabric at the tip Each flag has been encased with tip protection PVC increasing the fabric strength and resistance against fabric damage to the usually vulnerable tip.

How long will my feather banner order take to produce in Australia? ▾

Production for custom feather flags is 3–5 business days after artwork approval. Need it faster? Add our urgent 24–48 hour service. We ship Australia-wide and offer Sydney pickup.

What polyester fabric thickness do you supply for feather banners? ▾

We print on polyknit ~130 gsm—light enough to fly, tough enough for Aussie UV and wind, with vibrant colour and clean edges.

How long will the print on the flags last outdoors? ▾

Typical lifespan is 12–24 months in outdoor conditions, longer with indoor or intermittent use. Sun, wind and handling impact durability—rotate skins for high-UV or windy sites.

What is the sleeve and what colour should I choose? ▾

The sleeve is the reinforced pocket the pole slides into. Pick black sleeves for dark/colour-rich designs and white sleeves for light backgrounds so the join blends in.

What does single-sided “mirror reverse” print mean? ▾

Your artwork reads correctly on the front and appears in reverse on the back via natural show-through. It’s the most economical option for banner flags.

How are double-sided feather flags printed? ▾

We print two panels and add a blockout liner between them so each side reads correctly with no show-through—great for two-way traffic.

How do I tension my flag correctly? ▾

Slide the pole fully into the sleeve until the tip curves, then secure the elastic loop to the base hook so the fabric is taut. Correct tension protects the print and improves wind performance. Buy feather banner kits or replacement poles.

How can I remove creases from the polyester fabric? ▾

Most creases relax naturally once the flag is tensioned outdoors. For stubborn wrinkles, use a garment steamer or a cool iron with a cloth barrier. Avoid high heat.

How much do the flag bases weigh? ▾

As a guide: cross base + water bag ~10 kg filled, steel plates 10–20 kg, ground spikes 1.5–2.5 kg, water tanks 15 kg. Choose heavier bases for wind-exposed sites.

Which heavy-duty base should I choose for my location? ▾

Grass/soil: Ground Spike.
Footpath/indoor: Cross base + water bag.
Permanent outdoor: Heavy steel plate or water tank.

Will your bases fit poles I already own? ▾

Most bases fit 16.5–17 mm pole diameters. If unsure, contact us to confirm compatibility.

Can I install feather banners near fences or walls? ▾

Keep flags clear of rough surfaces—friction shortens fabric life. If space is tight, choose a heavier base and position the flag so it rotates freely.

Does the pole set come with a carry bag? ▾

Yes—our feather banner kits include a padded carry bag for easy transport and protection.

I have multiple designs—are there extra setup fees? ▾
